AFM Member Rob K has imaged the new active regions on the sun.  The is the 1st time in over a year that there has been two active regions #1026 and #1027 facing the Earth.  Sun spot 1027 is growing rapidly and 1026 is surrounded by active fibrils and a swirling magnetic filament.

The Sun has been amazingly quiescent for quite some time now.  It sure is nice to see it come back to life.

Images taken with NexImage through 4.5" f8 reflector & full-aperture Baader AstroSolar Safety Film filter.  Great Job on catching these to sun spots.
