AFM SkyGuide Appointed Committee Chair

One of Astronomy.FM’s own SkyGuides – John Schroer of Friday night’s Event^Horizon – has been appointed Planetarium Committee Chair of the Astronomy Foundation. John’s enthusiasm for outreach and his planetarium experience with the Detroit Science Center make him a fine choice for the position. Congratulations to the Astronomy Foundation and Kudos to John! AFM*Radio Announces New Program!

Astronomy.FM is proud to announce the debut of our newest weekly program, Western Worlds, on Monday, February 27, at 10pm EST!*

Produced by Western University’s Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration (CPSX), Western Worlds will feature weekly interviews and round-table discussions in a focused examination of the latest news in planetary exploration. On Monday’s premiere episode, How Lucky We Are, co-host Raymond Francis will visit with Planetary Geologist and CPSX Acting Director, Gordon Osinski, for a discussion on asteroids and impacts!  The interview will be followed by a round-table discussion with co-hosts Raymond Francis, Alyssa Gilbert, and John Moores.

Western Worlds is hosted by CPSX post-doctoral fellow, Dr. John Moores, and is co-produced by CPSX Outreach Coordinator, Dr. Alyssa Gilbert, and Astronomy.FM’s Program Director, Dr. Michael Foerster.
