Solstice


Solstice: Either of two times of the year when the Sun is at its greatest distance from the celestial equator, as a result of Earth's axial inclination toward or away from the Sun.

Today, December 21, mark's the Winter Solstice for the Northern Hemisphere. Tomorrow, December 22, marks the Summer Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere.
