Reichenbach/Borda environs Lunar Sketch

8" f/10 Meade LX-10 SCT // 9mm UO ortho eyepiece
Computer paper, graphite pencils

This area of the southern highlands is usually overlooked due to its close proximity to Petavius and Furnerius, but when viewed under an oblique light angle it's absolutely stunning.

Sketched at the eyepiece in about 2 hours, using 9B, 6B and 2B pencils. Necessary post-scan correctIons were made to re-darken areas of the black shadows which appeared bright after reflecing the scanner's light.
