The Moon and Antares : occultation


Dear Friends:

I am sending for appreciation of you an image of the occultation of the star Antares for the Moon, occured yesterday, day 27 of August of 2009.
The event was visible only in a small part of Brazil .

Here, in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará (in Brazil ) the star Antares did not want to deprive us of your beauty and hide behind the Moon.
Decided to share your walk with the Moon for awhile, to our admiration.

Mosaic composed of 7 images.

Equipment: Newtonian reflector telescope of 275 mm aperture, f / 6; Alt-azimuth mount, non-motorized;Ocular 58 mm;Panasonic Digital Camera Model DMC-LZ7 (not DSRL) – 7.2 Mega Pixels;Exposure Time 1/60 s;ISO 100 ; FNumber 4.40

Software used: Microsoft Image Composite Editor; InfanView 4.2; Filters Unlimited 2.0;
Color Efex Pro 3.0
