July 02 2009 Coalsax, Milky Way, Clouds and Big Bike!

I was attending the South Pacific Star Party at Wiruna. Though the observatIon site was clouded out, I went back to my hotel in the nearby town of Kandos, and was greeted with stars! I can easily see the Milky Way and the Coalsax despite the streetlights and corridor lights at the hotel! The self-protrait photo was taken with a 18mm lense of a Canon 300D, ISO 1600 for about 90 seconds.
