In an effort to publish past programs as podcasts, we are making available an interview with minor planet hunter Andrew Lowe from February 1, 2010. He is interviewed by AFM*Radio SkyGuide Marleen Bryan.
Andrew has discovered a total of 594 Asteroids, and made 454 discoveries using the Global Rent a Scope G4 and G5 systems in New Mexico.
A Canadian professional geophysicist and amateur astronomer in Calgary, Andrew has particular interests in computational astronomy involving minor planets and occultations. In recent years, he has opened up a new area of identification research by establishing several cases of linkages of orbits where the observations of the minor planets involved were made on only two nights at individual oppositions.
